Atlantic Fish Seafood (AFS) is seeking a highly successful, creative, and motivated direct Sales Executive to lead sales activities for retail and channel customers in the Northeast. Reporting to the CEO in this newly created position, we are looking for proven a successful Account Executive to support AFS’s vision to become the market leader in the Seafood Processing and Cold Storage. This is an exciting time to join new management to drive the next growth phase of our industry leading brand, Matlaw, and to market AFS in underserve markets. This is a great opportunity to earn a six (6) figure income.

Position Details

The activities and requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for the Senior Sales Executive. They are essential duties to satisfactorily meet the requirements of the job.

  • The Account Eecutive is responsible for achieving forecasted sales goals in assigned account(s), and with brokers and wholesale distributors.
  • The Account Executive is the primary lead for Channel and Customer strategy and growth, responsible for coordinating company priorities cross-functionally and with the Customer.
  • Develop and manage sales opportunities that includes distribution, pricing, promotion and shelf management.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Plant Management to identify, process and execute all business needs/opportunities from program implementation and up through the day-to-day account management.
  • Conceptualize and work with the customer/broker on promotional activities to drive sales.
  • Develop accurate financial and demand planning sales forecasts based on customer knowledge and ongoing business trends – working directly with Sales Operations. Use broker/customer data daily as a primary sale informational tool for sales and management decision making.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
  • Execute, monitor, and track promotional and advertising plans ensuring related performance guidelines are exceeded or met.
  • Managed inbound leads as provided by Marketing / Sales Operations to generate new sales and work with sales management and marketing to implement existing programs as well as develop new markets.
  • Monitor broker expansion plans and track performance and developing and implement account plan for new and existing customers.
  • Keep track of industry and competitive trends to expand opportunities with current customers and maintain market share.
  • Achieve account profitability and service levels agreed to by AFS and the customer.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge working with/selling to grocery trains, food distributors / wholesalers, and state agencies.
  • 5+ years in achieving outstanding sales results independently without direct authority in a direct sales environment.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percentages, and volume.
  • Ability to recognize errors in this area and assist those that require resolution to the customer and AFS.
  • Ability to sell and service large multi-million-dollar deals.
  • Ability to negotiate successfully and expeditiously resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist
  • Ability to work successfully as part of cross-functional team from Plant Operations, Sales Operations, and Marketing.
  • Ability to independently operate a computer to proficiency standards in MS Office (EXCEL) and web applications
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to travel 25% or more as required.
  • Valid driver license required Ability to travel 50% or more as required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
